Want to uninstall IE from my laptop

Hi,

I've brought my HP Laptop (Model: DV6875se) in May 2008. Internet Explorer was worknig fine for one month...but after that, whenever I am closing a IE window, it is getting stuck saying that the program has stopped working.I need to go to Task Manager everytime to end the task. I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox and usin it since then.

I want o uninstall the IE from my laptop and install it again. I could not find IE in Programs list to unistall. Please help m out in this issue.

Hi,

Go to Start menu, and then click Run. In the Open box, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK. It may take several seconds for your computer to compile a list of programs. Scroll down through the list and click Windows Internet Explorer 7, and then click Remove.

Does removing IE from the system give problems to functioning of Windows vista? In one of the threas, I've read that IE comes as aaintegral part of OS and removing that will get errors in OS. Please clarify.
