MSN Live Messenger error 81000306 since installing the Livebox

    Hello World: hello:

So, when I try to connect to MSN (Live Messenger) impossible because of an error No. 81000306:

Who tells me that Windows Live Messenger has made several unsuccessful attempts to log on. Your firewall may be prevented MSN to connect to the service.

As firewall, I have activated the Windows XP allowing MSN. I also tried to disable the firewall but without success.

I said that the problem has happened since I installed the Livebox, before I had any connection problem. I say that I can connect to MSN through my laptop that is connected by WiFi to the same Livebox.

if you have a solution thank you for help.

The LiveBox has its own firewall! It may be set too aggressive.

New Point, Yesterday, I created a new session under windows and I can connect to WLM (MSN) without problem on this new session and not on the session of "base" (the administrator).

    What do you think?

As I have firewalls that of Windows, but once I turned off to try to connect without success. Or as you say, it comes from my anti virus, I AVS (Active Virus Shield) messenger firewalls in this anti virus?
    Thank you for your help.

No AVS has no firewall, to my knowledge. You worked with the Trustee, or that an account that has a different name but administrator rights?

It's good everything is resolved: clap:

As I said above, I created a new session, which I named "administrator". So from this new session I can do what I even want to connect to WLM. Then I deleted the old and the first session that there was on the computer.

Well, now I have only one session called "administrator" which works perfectly: bounce:

If you have the same problem trying to do the same
