RECORDS - Loss data and the possibility of recovery

LOSS OF DATA AND THEIR RECOVERY

Sometimes, for various reasons (changes in voltage, power problems or the like) that a disk loses guidance / partition and It also, unfortunately, to make mistakes .... to cancel a partition or format the disk wrong ....
The fact that we have lost the partition or the FAT (partition is present, but is blank and unformatted), it changes very little
In these cases because the data on the disc are no longer accessible, because in fact it was deleted (accidentally or by an accident) all addressing the same
In fact, the data are still on the disk and not just have to try to retrieve them, catching the addresses or simply catching up with a copy files to another disk

If you happen something like this council strongly, especially if the data are important, to avoid attempts propitiatory or without a logical.
The first thing is groped by the recovery partition and / or file system and eventually lost, failing, to try to recover the data, before we make attempts to restore operating system (a possible reinstall the operating system would overwrite areas contained data, making it impossible for future recovery)

In the absence of any abnormal situations and strange, usually, at least the recovery is for all, indeed, are often recovered files or fragments of files that were deleted long time ago ...
One might say that, unfortunately, as far as I know, the data contained in a RAID 0 is not recoverable, as the software described below, are unable to correctly interpret the information in the array

Clarification: If a file is corrupted, it means that the data within it are inconsistent, and generally the recovery is not possible, it is in this case an issue of integrity of the data and not the loss of his address on the disc

NB: this refers to discs that lost the routes and not physically damaged disks
In the event of damage to the physical disk, no software can recover the data, because the damaged area is physically unreadable, at best will be legible other areas still intact and thus can be a partial recovery

    We distinguish between:
    • Recovery partitions and / or File System
    • Data Recovery

Re: Recovery partitions and / or file system

The recovery of addressing a partition can be made by special software
The chances of success are inversely proportional to the number of attempts to Useful loops that we have done over the disc "corrupt".
    Please note:

    Active Partition Recovery - DEMO
A program to recover partitions and file system
Compatible with all systems DOS and Windows
Supports PATA disks, SATA and SCSI
    You start from floppy
The demo version works in everything except for the final phase of recovery effective (if only we can verify the possibility of recovery)
    * Note also contained in the CD UBCD

    SPINRITE - Shareware
A program to recover partitions and file system
Also manages to correct problems of bad clusters

    Testdisk - Freeware
A program to recover and restore lost or deleted partitions Make a bootable disk again

    Re:Data Recovery

If recovery partition or file system is not possible, then the only thing to be groped to recover the data found on the disc copying and other hard working

The programs for recovering data from damaged disks in (other than the utility to recover individual files deleted), must of course be installed on a hard working (and not on the disc to be recovered) And will be well make sure you have enough disk space on the system (or another disk connected) for retrieving data can take recovering only part of the data contained in the disc and then you can recover more times in the disk itself (also specify a folder at a time), then moving the recovered data on optical media (for example)

    Drive Rescue - Freeware
Program for easy recovery of deleted files

    PC Inspector File - Freeware
A program to recover data, simple and easy to use, perhaps more suited for the recovery of some data that not a whole disc

Easy Recovery - Ontrack - Commercial
A program to recover data, download the free trial version that does not allow you to save the data recovered, but it can at least provide an indication of the possibility of recovering data

    GetDataBack - Commercial
A program to recover data, there are 2 versions for FAT32 and NTFS - download the free trial version that does not allow you to save the data recovered, but allows an assessment of the possibilities of recovery

    R-Studio 2 - Commercial
A program to recover data, download the free demo version that does not allow you to save the data recovered, but allows an assessment of the possibilities of recovery

    Stellar Phoenix - Commercial
    Data Recovery Program
Available in FAT & NTFS, Linux, Mac, Novell
There is also a version for recovering data from CDs
Free download the demo version that does not allow you to save the data recovered, but allows an assessment of the possibilities of recovery For someone considered "the best"

Thanks for your information fly-to-sky, That is really helpful. If you get little more information on Re-generation of data from the crashed disk because of uneven electric supply, then please provide me the same.

    Thanks once again.

Re: RECORDS - Loss data and the possibility of recovery

The situation is not as much devastating as you think as the data is completely recoverable through partition recovery software. This is possible in all cases of data loss due to the fact that data never gets deleted permanently. When you delete the data, only the file system entry of the data from the system data structure is deleted and the data remains physically intact on the hard drive. The partition recovery software can recover the data until it has got overwritten. The overwritten data can not be recovered by any means. Thus you should not perform any write operation to the affected hard drive to ensure the successful data recovery.
