The Mozilla Foundation offers Internet users to discover the news of his future messaging software, as the integration of Lightning.

This first beta is available for Windows, Mac and Linux, in many languages. Mozilla recalls that this, like Firefox, a version not ultimately aimed at developers, testers and those who are curious "about developments in the next version of Thunderbird."
Finalized version no later than next summer
At radius of the new features of this first beta: a manager add-ons and integration of the Lightning calendar, among others. Other versions betas are announced by Mozilla Messaging. Questioned recently by 01net. David Ascher noted that the final version of Thunderbird 3 "will be available in 28 languages early next year, no later than next summer."
