How to reconized an email adress?

I receives some known emails with my email address and want to find where it comes from. I know there is a key punch but can't remember it.

Hi,
you check who is sending you a mail in the 'to' and 'from' fields on the email?? This is what you are expecting, or you wanted to have an IP address of the senders machine.
please be more elaborative.
