When I click on certain webpages I get this error 'The page cannot be found error 404' I have had this problem for about 6 months and cannot get to the bottem of it. I am running Vista with Internet Explorer, it seems to be doing it more and more now and this means I cannot browse a lot of websites I am not sure why it is doing this and what the solution is. I know the pages where this happens are ok because I go on with my laptop which is ok but is very slow does anyone know of a solution to sort this issue out once and for all?

Are you sure you are using any internet service atm? If yes, then what is the speed of connectivity you are getting by your ISP? Previously were you able to browse any web pages? Try to set Default Settings in Internet Options or Settings and see if you are able to browse the websites.
