Just days after the release of the last major version of its Web browser, Norway's Opera Software this week released an updated version of their software, which runs for the occasion in version 9.6.1. No new feature is the program, but the publisher states have made the correction of various malfunctions and security vulnerabilities.
Opera Link, the tool to synchronize bookmarks developed by Opera Software, sees such as a synchronization bug that could lead to the creation of duplicate corrected. On the side of safety, explains editor have filled a gap that may reveal the history of navigation of the Internet following the use of a dedicated script via the Search History feature, and another vulnerability affecting the "fast forward" and an attack by allowing cross site scripting.
In short, an update routine, including the rapid reflects once again the will of Opera Software to impose its browser as a serious alternative to industry heavyweights, Internet Explorer and Firefox. Opera 9.6.1 is now available for download on Slashdot software for Windows, Mac and Linux.
