How to Ping?

Good, two minor question:

- How to make a ping from one PC to another PC, an IP router and some of the Internet for answers.
- As verifying the DNS and gateway.

In an MS-DOS console type:

- Ping <host> where host can be an ip, or a domain.

- Ipconfig / all to verify DNS and gateway.

When you play ping, you have to go out on the screen to make it correct?

and when I check the DNS or gateway, which has to go out too?

goto start and click on run

type in run dialog box "cmd"

then type in the cmd box pig 192.168.x.x

where 192.168.x.x is the IP of the computer which u re tryin to ping

You can run ping and traceroute remotely which can sometime help to solve some problems. It also has DNS and Whois tools as well so its a good site to favorite because they are all in the one place.
