Facing net issues with system crash

My system is having some problem from quiet a long time. At first I was facing the net issues like pages were downloaded very slow. I tried deleting the history and cookies and all offline contents but no gain. Then it raised a new problem. My system started crashing with blue screen. I also did a fresh format but all in vain.

Can some one solve this problem.

Could you specify some more details as in what OS, how is your network setup and all stuff?

I am having Windows Vista Home Premium with 4GB of RAM. I am directly connected through the modem (using wire) without any router.

Could be the driver issue. I will suggest you to go for latest updated driver. Try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers if you are having the updated one.

If that didn't solve the problem than might be the issue of the modem. Try to update the firmware of the modem.
