    How to convert FoxPro written application in .dbf Format

    Hello friends. I had made an application in my previous company using FoxPro as the format, but now in my new company for accounts purpose I need to convert those files in .dbf format in real studios 2011 but I am unable to do it need to do this project ASAP hence I need help desperately. Please friends bail me out of this mess

    I had the same issue few months back where I had to convert the files of an application written in FoxPro to .dbf format and view it on mac. I did it using a converter I found on the net I think that should solve your problem. This application however only allows you to convert files one at a time hence making the process time consuming but at the end of the day gets your work done.

    . Dbf files are usually in plain text and every record is just a fixed length string terminated with an end of line. The exception is memo fields where, you have eight bytes in the.dbf file that are a reference to a position in a separate file. Any data that start with * have been marked for deletion and will be removed next time the table is packed. If you make a copy of the file and open it in a text editor you should be able to figure it out.
