Creating a league spreadsheet in excel

I have an archery league and it is getting very populated these days but its very time consuming. To solve this I need a excel spreadsheet. I have tried it myself but no help, I was unable to do or create such spreadsheet. Its ok with me if you give me an example and ways to do it. I will take reference from it and do it myself. Please help me soon. I am waiting for your reply.

I have understood what you are trying to say and your requirement. Even I have the worksheet for the same kind of league. It helps me a lot and the most important thing is that it saves time. For example lets assume its week 3 and the best players are Ray, Max and Tyson. Their respective averages are 300, 290, and 260. The other team players such as Jack, Paul and Jerry have averages 290, 270, and 280 respectively.

    Their match up would be:

    • Ray vs Jack
    • Max vs Paul
    • Tyson vs Jerry

The above are listed in their ranks according to their current averages that is from highest to lowest. But I am not quite sure about the current average calculation. So I better leave it for others to reply.

I can help you with the current average calculations for the above example. The spot for the above will be as follows:

80% of the difference between their current averages-
    1. Ray vs Jack+8
    2. Max vs Paul+8
    3. Tyson+8 vs Jerry

If team Ray’s shoots are 300, 282, 274 and team J’s shoot 292, 284, 266. The adjusted scores for the same would be:

    1. Ray 300 vs Jack 292+8 (300)
    2. Max 282 vs Paul 284+8 (292)
    3. Tyson 274+8 (282) vs Jerry 266

I think a good Formula will help you to calculate the averages as well match setup among the two teams. Below I have formula that will set up the match as well as averages among the 4 teams. The formula are as follows:

    • =IF(A2="win",B2*C2,IF(A2="lose",-C2,""))

And you can changed it to:

    • =IF(F2="win",+D2,IF(F2="lose",-D2,""))

According to the two teams that is team A and team B consists as follows:

    1. Team A- 300, 290 and 295.
    2. Team B- 290, 280 and 300.

If you see the averages then the stats are 80% of the ten points that of average. The formula I have used is:
    • =IF(A2="win",B2*C2,IF(A2="lose",-C2,""))
