    Cannot find JRE on computer

    Hello,
I am working with Eclipse, when I tryot to access my server, tomcat, it says that jre is not installed or could not find jre. when I try to find, I get the location of the jre
In the properties of Tomcat :
    Java Virtual Machine:
    C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jdk1.5.0_06 \ jre \ bin \ server \ jvm.dll
    In Eclipse window> preferences> installedJRE:
    C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jre1.5.0_06
    And my Windows PATH = C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jdk1.5.0_07

I guess this all is correct and I am expecting help from you.

    Hello,
I'll probably say, but to run tomcat (and compile JSP) a JRE is not enough, you need a JDK. And in Eclipse, I think you need: installed JRE pointing to a JDK1.X And I think that eclipse (in eclipse and tomcat) using your environment variables, is that Eclipse must be configured. I hope you have understood what I am trying to explain you.

This is what you should have as assess the environment variable
JAVA_HOME: C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jdk1.5.0_06 after it depends on which version you have but it must point to the jdk. You can also add C: \ Program Files \ Java \ jdk1.5.0_06 \ bin in the path. Install the jre in the same directory as the JDK.

Do not bother to put the path and JAVA_HOME, eclipse it occupies. Just go to Window / Preferences / Java / Installed JRE then you add a JDK (add button). Then you put it must update the server properties to use JDK newly added: Window / Preferences / Server / Installed Runtime you select your server, click on edit and the list you select the JRE, JDK.
