    Re: Future of JavaFx?

JavaFX runs on the foregoing, with a few conditions of course: First, smart phones and PDAs must be of a very new generation to JavaFX to, as far as I know. Development you for this you may not, however, the entire JavaFX API but only the "mobile profile to use. For example, since missing the Swingclasses, you were in the "Desktop Profile" it would have with. Once Java is installed your system on, browsers can also JavaFX embed. When you first start a JavaFX applet, there is only a long waiting period, in which the entire JavaFX API is downloaded.

    Re: Future of JavaFx?

There are with JavaFX problems yet, which you should consider before you do something with it: First, the acquisition of Sun by Oracle, the future of JavaFX at least questionable. Second, there are currently no particularly good IDE support for JavaFX (in Eclipse at all, the NetBeans plugin is still very buggy!) Third, all the JavaFX version jumps up to now no more backwards compatibility: JavaFX 1.0 respectively. 1.1 Applications can no longer JavaFX compile 1.2. Fourth, there may be between desktop and mobile devices in GUI questions give no platform independence: Mobile devices have a much lower resolution and therefore have a completely different GUI requirements than desktop applications. User Interface for desktop and mobile use, the same is not a good idea.

    Re: Future of JavaFx?

For the second to fourth, I can source you quote, but only say that it is dealing with personal experience: Since the beginning of the year, I develop JavaFX and the language was already in real (used) applications used. So I know that NetBeans and JavaFX is not very well understood, and that serious changes of JavaFX was 1.1 to 1.2: 1.1 was in there multiple inheritance, in 1.2 - no longer only as an example. The use of threads has clearly Safety 1.2 from 1.1 in last over. The thing with mobile devices has the common sense to do with something: it makes the development of GUIs NEN simply different, whether you or lower (320x200?) Have 1024x768 pixels available. On a mobile display the amount of information you need to cut and the GUI easier because you do not have enough space. There's also no mouse when you touch sensitive surfaces work with, the buttons must have a sufficient size.

On the idea of a string to a file, which stores links to resources such as libraries language JavaFX Script. This is actually some kind of executable script which returns references to different libraries depending on your operating system.
