First you need to check your file is not infected by virus or any type of malware file. After that when a Web browser (like Internet Explorer or Firefox) visits your site, it first tries to load a file named "index". It may be "index.html" or "index.php", etc.., But the file must be named "index", with a lowercase "i". The browser will look for this file in your public_html folder. You can see for yourself what file in the file manager section of cPanel.

You can use several methods for the publication of your index file. The most popular way to publish files on the Web is to use an FTP program (File Transfer Protocol - File Transfer Protocol). Several FTP programs, including FileZilla, WS_FTP and CuteFTP, are available free or are offered free trial. FTP programs are also included in the Web design software like Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

CPanel servers in Monarobase are compatible with the automatic version, you can download spip_loader.php. (To download this file, please Right > save target as ... otherwise the file code spip_loader.php may display in your browser instead of being downloaded. You now have the file on your computer spip_loader.php. Launch your FTP software: On Windows we recommend Filezilla, Linux and MacOSX gftp, Transit (shareware software) or Cyberduck (freeware). Of course you can choose any other software that suits you best. Connect to your FTP account with FTP login that you were sent when creating your account. If you have not checked the remote directory when configuring your FTP account on your FTP softwar.

Your public_html directory is not empty. If you have not already sent or website files to your FTP account, the only file that you should not delete it (if it exists). Htaccess, but the default FTP software does not show files starting with a point, you normally will not see this file. All other files in the folder / public_html will not interfere with the functioning of SPIP, but are not relevant to its operation. It's up to you to choose to delete or not. Check and reply.

You need to edit an existing file using the File Manager allows you to make immediate changes to your website without having to download a new version of the file. To edit a file:
    > Navigate to the folder where the file resides.
    > Click on the file name.
    > Click on the link Edit File located in the upper right of your window.
    > A new window will open displaying the contents of the edited file.
    > Edit text file as you wish.
    > Click Registration to validate your changes. The changes are immediate on your site.

In the code of SPIP, a word normally reserved in PHP is used out of context, the word "exec", which is used as a value (string) in scripts related to ajax upload. The exec () is also a PHP function => running a command function. Apparently, the servers the use of the word exec, in order to avoid undue use of the PHP function of the same name.
