create "save" option in a video game

Hi! i wanna know that can i ever create "save" option in a pc game, named-PROJECT IGI(part-1).this game dont have save option , i like this game, so please help me

Actually I have completed IGI 2 about 1 year back. In that game pause menu,somwhere there is an option called UPLOAD MISSION DATA TO HQ.
Just click on that and your Mission Progress will be saved. I think you can only SAVE FIVE TIMES during a mission. But in IGI 1 there is no option. Thank you.
