Re: Differentiation between JavaScript and java

The Javascript is a scripting language embedded in an HTML document. Historically it is the same first language Scripting for the Web. This language is a language programming that allows for improvements to the HTML language used to execute commands on the client side, is to tell the browser level, not the web server. Thus Javascript is highly dependent on the browser calling the web page where the script is incorporated, but in return it requires no compiler, unlike language Java, with which it has long been confused.

The java language takes much of the language syntax C + +, Widely used by professionals. However, Java has been purged of the more subtle concepts of C + + and the most confusing times, such as pointers and references, and the multiple inheritance replaced by the implementation of interfaces. The designers have favored the object-oriented approach so that in Java, everything is subject to the exception of primitive types (integer, floating point numbers, etc.).

The JavaScript was developed by Netscape in 1995. Originally it was called and was intended LiveScript to provide a simple scripting language to the browser Netscape Navigator 2. It was at that time long been criticized for its lack of security, its Development pushed slightly and the absence of explicit error messages making hard use. At the same time, Microsoft began developing the language Jscript a scripting language very similar.

The Java allows you to develop applications Client-server. Client-side, Applets are the source of awareness of language. This is especially server-side Java that was imposed in the middle of the business through servlets. The server for applets, and more recently (JSPJavaServer Pages) Which can substitute PHP, ASP and ASP.NET. The portability Java code is provided by the VM.

Do not confuse the JavaScript and Java. Indeed unlike Java, the code is written directly in the HTML is a language just evolved that allows no privacy level codes. On the other hand, the Java applet (program) has been previously compiled, and a virtual machine to interpret the pseudo-code must be loaded into memory (the client side) each load Page, where a significant slowdown for Java applets unlike JavaScript.
