    Different editions and usage of oracle database

    Hi,
    I've heard about a free Oracle database version (that could be a "lite"version or something else).Is that true ?Does anyone know more about it ? Thanks in advance. Hello everyone ,Could you all introduce me about the different editions of oracle database and what is reason of issuing in different editions.

    The oracle is very large corporation in the worldwide and produces a lot of software products .The powerful and much secure database management system is provided by this corporation.

    In the case of database, It produces the oracle database management system in 3 different editions and their usage are different from each other,they are described below :

    • Express edition

    • Enterprise edition

    • Standard edition

    Express editions of oracle database

    The oracle database express edition is entry-level.it free to develop,deploy and administer.

    The developer who are working with PHP, Java, .NET, XML they can also integrate it as a back end.DBA can also use it for training and deployment for a beginner.Independent Software Vendors and hardware vendors can distribute this database software with free of charge.

    This edition incorporates all the features of standard edition.It provides much more feature than other database availability, performance, scalability and security system.

    It can run on the different platform like Windows,Linux and Unix with simply handled tools for operating environment,Improved quality of services with enterprise level performance.It provides some development tools Oracle Application Express and Oracle SQL Developer and oracle data access components for windows.
