I think it should run on your system without any kind of issue. Also you have not specified your problem thoroughly can you post the error messages which you are getting during the installation. Because unless and until i am not aware of the error message it is really difficult to predict any solution. So i am waiting for your further posts.

Since both Visual basic 2008 and Windows 7 both are Microsoft product they both should be compatible with each other and hence there should be no issue if you are using Visual basic 2008 in windows 7. In order to implement on this problem can you please specify your problem in some more detail in your further replies.

Right click on the setup icon and select "Run as administrator" . By default there is a list that should be installed in a particular order. This will indicate all the problems you are having with your system. Please post the list of those problems so that i can try to provide you a suitable solution. Please don't forget to mention the error code.

Hi all i am also getting similar messages whenever i try to run the uninstaller or repair the file. Although my main Visual Basic screen opens but it does not let me do anything whenever i try to open anything an error message comes up saying "Package Load Failure" . When i try to open an existing project it again gives a different message. I don't know what is wrong with the software
