Hello,
Nothing is certain but it is possible that you are not installed the JRE (Java Run Time Environment). I suggest you install it again and try running the program that is the applet. Install it, restart your pc and tell us what you get. Will seek other Internet Option ... but we'll see, first you go with this option. I think this will solve your problem.

Re: Display java applet - chess

Hello,
As you said I download a fresh copy of java jre and tried to installed it. This is something that I had already tried, but I still tried again once more. So after you click download, it affected me that java is already installed, and he proposed to me reinstall. I then restarted the pc, but I had the same problem again on the screen. So I am sorry to ask you if you tell me about the other option which you mentioned and who could help me settle my problem.

Re: Display java applet - chess

Hi,
Well, I have the same problem with IE and Firefox. I'm on Windows 7. I strongly feel that it is an update of Windows, which should pose problems of compatibility with my chessviewer (it is java applet that is the problem) Me, I put up my chess club on my personal website, and since about a week, I can not see the parties. By cons, on my laptop from work (W2000, IE6) it works very well. I want a solution, but it does not seem obvious. If anyone has any leads, they are welcome.

Re: Display java applet - chess

Hello
Well, my problem is solved, I went to the java site and from there I install java for my computer architecture. Of course, I could not see. It gave me a picture with a little blue logo inside. I clicked to install the JRE ... then restarted the browser ... and oh miracle, everything is OK again. Hopefully it works for you.
