    How to configure Dreamweaver

    Hi,
I need some information on configuring the Dreamweaver. I had developed some sites in it. When I double click on them they launch in Internet Explorer. How can I change this and make them launch on Mozilla. What is the way to change the syntax of a code in Dreamweaver. After the launch of version CS3 the all new docs in it are encoded in UTF-8. Is it possible to switch back to ISO-8859-1. And how to run a automated task and sopt dreamweaver for generating the_notes on files.

Yes, you can choose multiple browsers to test your pages. To do this click on Edit > Preferences (Ctrl + U). Go to the category Preview in Browser. Then click on Edit to choose another browser. After that choose the path to the executable of the new browser. You can also define a second browser. The master browser is launched by pressing F12 and the secondary with the combination Ctrl + F12.

The syntax is a specific term to a given language. You can choose your own colors if you want. To do this you have go on Edit > Preferences or simply press Ctrl + U. Go to the category Color code. Choose the type of document, eg HTML and click on Change color model. In the preview code, click the item to edit to change its color. By this you can use this as per your own need.

Yes since the CS3 version of Dreamweaver, the new documents are encoded in UTF-8. It is possible to switch back to ISO-8859-1. To do this press Ctrl + U from your keyboard. Then in the category New Document, choose Default Encoding and Central European (ISO). Bu this you can switch back to the ISO-8859-1 and view your docs in it.

To run a automated task in Dreamweaver you will have to follow the below instructions. Set your mode Creation and Show the panel History. The same can be accessed by Window > History (Shift + F10). Then your actions must appear in the historical. Select the action to automate, and right click to Save as. Give the command and specify a name for your new command. To test, click the Commands menu and then click the command you just created.

    Re: How to configure Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver uses XML files or MNOs, content in folders "_notes" to store information like the condition of synchronization of your files or design notes. To prevent Dreamweaver pollutes your tree these files, it is necessary to disable features that use them (careful, you lose those 2 features). Select Sites > Manage Sites. Then select site and click on Change. Go to Advanced tab and then Category > Design notes. Uncheck the Manage Design Notes. Then click the Clear button. Then select Category > Remote Info. If you use this feature, you must uncheck the Keep my data synchronization. You can now check the contents of your _notes it is empty.
