Can I use Access 2003 with Office 2007

If, on the same PC, I have installed Office 2007 without installing Access 2007 and then I installed Access 2003 alone (without Office 2003). So I want to ask here you all guys whether a user can use Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook 2007 and Access 2003 without any problem?

Re: Can I use Access 2003 with Office 2007

Several sit well together on the same position provided they are installed in different directories. The only little problem is when running an Office program if another, of a different version, has been loaded before it will post a sign of waiting time to redo the config.

Apart from this panel and this expectation there is no problem.

Why this choice, knowing that 2007 fully supports the 2003 format?

For example at work I have:
Access 2.0, Access 2000, Access 2003 and 2007 on the same system.

Re: Can I use Access 2003 with Office 2007

Thank you for your reply. After installing Office 2007 licenses, it is now impossible to make a downgrade to a 2003 license. All our application was developed in Access 2003 and runs with the runtime 2003. The runtime 2007 seems to work well (.mdb / .mde in Access 2003). But I wonder if the development of new features in Access 2007 on the application in Access 2003 will run smoothly given that the application will run on PCs, mainly in runtime 2003 (only new PC will be using Access 2007).

I do not know if I was clear... What do you advise?

Always install the earliest versions of Microsoft Office to the most recent computer in different directories. And by the way, why don't you replace the runtime 2003 by runtime 2007?

Re: Can I use Access 2003 with Office 2007

I realize that perhaps I misunderstood the principle of the runtime. From what I understand, the runtime installed on the client must be the version in which the Access database was developed and not the version of Office installed on the client.

Code:
mdb Dev in 2003 mdb Dev in 2007
Post clients Office in 2003 => runtime 2003 runtime 2007
Post clients Office in 2007 => runtime 2003 runtime 2007
Do I understand?

Re: Can I use Access 2003 with Office 2007

That's about it. If your development application is made with Access 2003 you can use the Runtime Access 2003 or 2007.
If you have developed with Access 2007 in accdb or accde you are obliged to have the runtime 2007.
If you have developed in Access 2007 MDB. you should be able to use with the runtime (2003) with reservations about references. But what if interest you can save the runtime 2007.

It is assumed that "who can do more ... can do less" and not vice versa.

customize form size

I have a client that uses a tracker feed to write checks. The feed worked well under a clarion dos program but now that he is using a access program the check prints but does not stop at the next check and feeds two other checks. This is very cumbersome. The form that writes the checks needs to be set to 8.5 X 7 at page setup but i do not see where i can set it to that customized size. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
