Compatibility issue with Excel 2007 VBA

With the previous version of Office, i.e. OFFICE 2003, we used to have an application. It was working properly before but after upgrading to Office 2007, the application fails to launch any more saying an error in VBA. I called my application developer but the person is not able to identify the problem. Is this the compatibility issue with Excel 2007 VBA?

The different versions of Excel always generate problems of compatibility with VBA. This actually comes from the change of reference (in Visual Basic Editor, Menu Tools>> References). You mark the references active in the 2003 versions and throw them back in order, under the 2007 version.

The application is not consistent with 2007 may be because it is written in C and thus impossible to see the macros. I am afraid that the application can be used with Office 2007 or require the entire recast of it.

Re: Compatibility issue with Excel 2007 VBA

Office 2007 introduces a new feature called compatibility mode in which incompatible features such as the SmartArt diagramming tool won’t be available to you. In Office 2007, VBA features have been changed working code needs to be tweaked to run in 2007.
