I want to know although there are so many better options for higher level programming languages, why JAVA is still under boom and why Python and Ruby are still back staged. Even Python or Ruby are cross platform languages very productive. In fact programmers find it easy coding in Python and/or Ruby then in JAVA then why everyone goes for Java and not for Python and Ruby? What are the differences between Java, Python and Ruby?

The most important reason why Java is preferred over Python or Ruby is that the later one's are slower as compared to JAVA. However the biggest setback about JAVA is the execution time that it takes. This is the feature where Python and Ruby rocks. Also when we consider the coding part, Python and Ruby codes are shorter and cleaner then JAVA.

Java is basically platform independent. It can run at any places. However Java requires more manpower than Ruby for coding. It is absolutely correct that Java will sooner be replaced by Ruby or Python because of its limitations and slowlyness.

I think Ruby is more powerful and Object Oriented than Python. Ruby is a reflective, dynamic, object-oriented programming language. Python is a great language but the idea of using indentation as block demarcation is really a hacktick for developer. Python provide everything but still not favorite for software industries. When talking about Java, it is too slow.
