| Export odb to csv text file
I have created a Database in OpenOffice Base. I created one form for this database. Now I would like to convert the saved .odb files into a csv text file using some shell script. But the problem is that I am unable to find anything which can convert my ODB files to csv. Can any one provide me some command or something that can export my odb to csv text file? |

You can use Organizers Database to export data from any of ODB's main tables to a csv text file. The Import/Export button on the main menu opens the Import/Export Tool -- a window with two tabs on it: the Import tab and the Export tab. Right-clicking the button will show four shortcuts that take you directly to the Export tab. |

Using OpenOffice Base for maintaining your database is not recommended for corporate use. I have always seen people using MySQL. MySQL is commonly used by free software projects which require a full-featured database management system. MySQL works on many different system platforms, including FreeBSD, HP-UX, Linux, Mac OS X, Novell NetWare, OpenBSD, OpenSolaris, OS/2 Warp, QNX, IRIX, Solaris, Symbian, SunOS, SCO OpenServer, SCO UnixWare, and Microsoft Windows. |
