The tools alpha refresh has basic Silverlight 1.1 project system support, XAML markup modifying and intellisence support, debugging support, Expression Blend project compatibility, and VB and C# code-behind intellisense. You can find quick start tutorials that detail how to use these features.if you're working with the RTM of Visual Web Developer 2008, they haven't released Tools that work with the RTM yet. You can get the Silverlight 1.0 project template working but it takes a little work
After the installation of the Visual Web Developer feature in Visual Studio 2008 SP1 is complete, devs can go ahead and deploy the Silverlight Tools with no problems.Unfortunately right now the Silverlight tools add-on isn't supported by Visual Web Developer Express. It is something we are looking to hopefully enable in the future.. As such Silverlight project template is available for VS 2008, but that does not runs on Visual Web Developer 2008. so i am looking if something on this front is available or expected soon.
Do you think I can get credit for it anyway? My answer sounds right, plus you can get a point for marking this as answered. They don't yet support Express but are looking to fix this later this year.but we are still waiting for the latest 1.1 (or is it 2.0 now) template for the VS2008 that I just downloaded from MSDN.
