Cannot access my sites but other people can

I have recently launched a new website using PHP and Joomla. My problem is that whenever I try to access my site, I am unable to visit it and receives the error message that server was not found. At the same time a friend of mine visited the website without any problem. I tried pinging to my website but got the error message. What has happened to my website? Why does only me cannot access my sites but other people can do?

This could be the problem of your DNS cache. Are you pinging the domain name or the IP? Are you using the shared IP? The problem with shared IPs is that if website traffic is high then those who share the same IP would get bounced out. You may also check if your firewall is not the culprit. If found then disable it. Otherwise configure it so that port 80 is always kept open.

Site not found implies that you have a DNS problem. Try using some third party software to ping your server like dnslookup. You can also consult with your hosting provider regarding this problem and get it fixed. This could also be the problem of your hosting providers routing issues. Try accessing your website from different location.
