How to turn on Legacy mode support in joomla

Hi,

Joomla is the best content management system (CMS) for publishing content on the World Wide Web and intranets as well as a Model–view–controller (MVC). Does anyone know how to activate the and switch on legacy mode in Joomla! 1.5 ?

Legacy mode is very important, Legacy Mode is a plugin which helps you in installing extensions written for version 1.0 until the authors have been able to rewrite them for the 1.5 framework.

you can enable Legacy mode by selecting Extensions - Plugin Manager in the menu. then from Select Type select"System" and drop down. Now select publish icon for the " System - Legacy". this will show that Legacy Mode is on in the template status bar.

To enable Legacy mode support in joomla 1.5 you have to login to Joomla 1.5 Site Administrator panel for eg- www.abc.com/administrator. After login click on Plugin Manager. and select System - Legacy, and select the check box. now Click on Enable button. this will enable Legacy mode.
