How to set up Email Delivery Reports

    hello,

I am using Yahoo mailing services, whenever I send mails to the Buddies from the Address book it immediately gives me an notification that the Email has been send but i never knows whether the Email sends has been read or it just remains unread in the Inbox of the Buddies(in my friends Account), so is there any software that would help me knowing that E-mails has been read by the Buddies.

    Thanks for your help...

There's are such services available but this delivery report feature must be supported by your email service provider. If I'm not wrong, hotmail and yahoo doesn't provide such feature. The only thing probably it does is to send you a notice when the mail fails to deliver. However they cannot determine if the recipient has read or successfully delivered to his/her inbox. Well, as I've said, this feature must be supported by the email service provider, hence only some providers provide such service. My school's email servers does this feature too.

Re: How to set up Email Delivery Reports

Many mailuser agents have the feature of configuring to send a request for such a receipt.

On the recipient's end, the recipient can configure to 'reply' or not reply or to be notified of such a receipt so that they can selectively reply or not. So in order for receipts to work, both ends have to be configured to enable it.

    Gmail's webmail doesn't have such a feature.

The other method of doing that is to enclose a 'web beacon'. If you enclose a webbeacon and the recipient is configured insecurely, you can determine that the recipient opened the mail and triggered the beacon.

Re: How to set up Email Delivery Reports

Here are some benefits of the Email Delivery Reports.
On Demand Delivery: The Real-Time Summary Report is instantly delivered to your inbox.

Off-Line Access: Once the report is delivered to your inbox, you can then view it off-line. This is especially useful in meetings/presentations where internet access may not be available.

Light-Weight (Compressed): Excel or Customized Reports tend to be a bit heavier in size. This is because these reports provide detailed analysis of the data. Email Delivered Summary Reports are light-weight and can be viewed within the email body itself.

Automate Delivery: With Corporate Multi-User Account, you can choose the users that the report gets delivered to. If you do not have a multi-user account, you can deliver the report to yourself. Please see Report Scheduler for more information about Automating Reports Delivery.
