The program is created and tested for Windows XP, but most probably will also work in other windows versions.Kid-Key-Lock is ideal to be used in order to prevent toddlers from accidentally pressing unwanted buttons on your keyboard and mouse.

To avoid damage to a computer system it is always a good idea to lock it up as best as possible. Our advise would be to turn it off whenever a little one runs around but this is sometimes not possible. Kid Key Lock is a protection software for the Windows operating much like the formerly reviewed program to lock.

To unlock your system you have to type in a password you determined (this will work even when the keyboard is totally locked). Forgetting your password means you could be stuck with hitting the off switch and rebooting your machine, so beware!

    Re: Lock keyboard and Mouse

This is actually safe from Ctrl-Alt-Delete, so even the technically minded toddler should be foiled by Kid-Key-Lock. When opened you can choose to lock all or some of the mouse buttons, and there is a slide button for keyboard locks, from no locking to all keys locks.

Kid Key Lock is able to lock the computer mouse and keyboard. It can be customized further to suite the needs of the user.

The left, middle and right mouse can be locked individually as well as the double-click and the mouse wheel. The degree of the keyboard lock can be customized using a slider which ranges from no locks at all to a complete lock of the computer keyboard. In between are options to only lock system key combinations or all keys except characters, space and enter.

Kid Key Lock uses a little bit more than 4 Megabytes of computer memory while running. In order to install Kid-Key-Lock on your system:..

    1. Download 100dof_kidkeylock_setup.exe and save in a temporary folder.
    2. Run 100dof_kidkeylock_setup.exe to start the setup wizard
    3. Select the desired installation settings, and click 'install' to start installation.

Kid-Key-Lock sits in the system tray when activated, and really does its job well. We would never recommend leaving toddlers around active computers, but if you really have to then Kid-Key-Lock is worth a look. It also works with keyboard wandering pets!
