What is QTP?

Hi,

Do anyone know what is QTP?
I know that it is used as a testing tool but nothing else.

Quick Test Professional (QTP) is an automated functional Graphical User Interface (GUI) testing tool that allows the automation of user actions on a web or client based computer application.

It is primarily used for functional regression test automation. QTP uses a scripting language built on top of VBScript to specify the test procedure, and to manipulate the objects and controls of the application under test.

Batch Testing tool is used to run more than one test at a time, after we add test in that tool, it automatically opens QTP and runs the tests. We use a QTP utility tool Multitest manager to run all the scripts in batch.

QTP is widely used test automation tool mainly for functional testing. QTP has many more advanced options and HP recommends that all existing and new users should begin with QTP instead of WinRunner.

QTP is a autmation tool,that will be used for functional purpose,regersion purpose test that applicating different time with different data,and reducing the time and provide the good quality to customer.and in qtp script will be
prepare by using vb, java.
