How to perform calculations with conditions in Excel ? I would like to create a form in Excel (that I know do), but I would like to create the conditions of addition and calculations once completed the form. How do I create these forms and their conditions? Visual Basic? If yes, do you know a good site for beginner clearly explaining how to perform calculations with conditions and view the responses to these conditions? I hope I am clear ... Ex: Garage: 1 Salon: 2 Room: 5 Is there a garden: yes Is there a swimming pool: no ... Total elements:? I would for example add the total of parts and yes! But also limit, for example, the number of pieces on the floor to 4 (even if it says 5) and even better, a message in a cell defined if exceeded 4 parts ". .. There are an infinite number of things to achieve that effect, but otherwise performs there this kind of thing in Excel? |

Re: How to perform calculations with conditions in Excel ? Want an Excel roughly as I have before ... We realize this kind of thing, with conditions 'if' essentially ... Now it is possible to make things very complicated. A key issue remains to clearly and define clearly what you want to do, so that the transcript formula becomes obvious. Site to start somewhere, and even to go much further: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ffice.11).aspx Writing Your First VBA Function in Excel |

Re: How to perform calculations with conditions in Excel ? Thank you XSI. So if I understand all these complex calculations have to be written with VBA. And I can trigger these actions by clicking on a button. That's right? But VBA is that I do not know yet. I do not understand how to run these activities. Do they engage with macros, automatically? |

Re: How to perform calculations with conditions in Excel ? No ... lots of complex calculations can be written with functions ... but hey, that tell you more than using Excel ... ? if function works: if (condition, value if yes, value if false), so nothing very hard to understand ... Now there are many other functions that you will ... you must be curious and look into the functions of Excel ... I did not really have any other advice. Otherwise, yes, the VBA can be triggered by a button that actually launches the macro. |
