Unable to install .net framework on my system

Hi,
I am trying to install .Net Framework 2.0 on my machine but i am not able to do this.
I formated the drive & installed windows again & tried installing Visual Studio again but i am having the same problem
Anyone had faced this problem Since unless i install .Net Framework I can install the Visual Studio & its important for me to install Visual Studio ASAP.
I tried installing the latest .Net framework pack but still no luck!
Any help?

Try installing the .Net framework 3.5. The install process will install the .net framework 2.0 and 3.0 also.

I'm thinking that previous uninstalls were not complete. Download and install (freeware) MyUninstaller. Use it to uninstall all the .Net Framework installations, then start the installation process again. This time, do the installation in Safe Mode.

Try this .NETcleanup tool, it will remove all the .Net versions so you will have to get them all again http://astebner.sts.winisp.net/Tools...eanup_tool.zip

Just so you know who this fix came from its from Aaron Stebner who was a programmer on .NET http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/articles/488032.aspx

I know this tool worked for me when I had to remove a beta version of .Net2.0
