IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

I have installed SharePoint 2007 on my Windows Server 2003. I installed IIS 6.0 and. NET Framework 3.5, which would include ASP.NET 2.0. But when I go into the IIS Manager, says that ASP.NET 1.1 is enabled, though I've installed Framework 3.5.

How do I get ASP.NET 2.0 enabled / installed on my IIS?

Re: IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

If 2.0 is installed use the Aspnet_regiis.exe:

cmd.exe

cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\

also, for example. with-ir as simply registering 2.0 in II without overwriting things can register with another .net version:

Aspnet_regiis.exe-ir

With just-in update the script maps for all versions is <= 1.1 and with only-r update everyone, regardless of version.

Read more on MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...8h(VS.80).aspx

If the folder \ .. \ v2.0.50727 \ is not there, .Net 2 is not installed. Do this from Microsoft Update, update.microsoft.com, or download it manually. There is an update to SP1 .Net 2 and .Net 3.5

Re: IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

  2. In the Internet Information Services tree, click the plus sign (+) next to the server name, and then click the Web Service Extensions folder

  3. In the details pane, right-click ASP.NET v2.0.50727, and then click Allow.

Installing SharePoint = Nightmare.

@ kelfro
Thank you for your help. Samples of it works.

@ Modifier
Yes it was, I know. The problem is that I can not get ASP.NET 2.0 version in there. There is only V.1.1, although I have installed Framework 3.5. But just tried solution in 1.

It was in fact probably not bad again. I just remember I was about to pull hairs out when I had to define 117 different service accounts (if you otherwise run least privileges mode)

Re: IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

So there still problems. A System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException Login fail.
Also write it my username for Windows Server \ Admin.

Someone who knows how I solve this? My bid would be for me to create a user in Microsoft SQL Server. If it is true, how do I do that?

Re: IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

Well. What do you want. A service account problem.

Make administrator sysadmin on the SQL instance if it is just for home. So, security is not so important. Start SQL Server Management Studio up and log in to your SQL server. Add the Administrator role and give him sysadmin rights.

Re: IIS and ASP.NET 2.0

Hmm ... I do not have a named SQL Server Management Studio. Only one called SQL Server Configuration Management and I can not add users.

Have just installed the SQL server as SharePoint install. Should I download and install it myself?
