    SWF with transparent background

    Hi all
    I'm making PDF document with embed SWF .Everything works fine, but don't know how to make the background of the embedded swf transparent? The area that contains the animation always overlaps the rest of the PDF's content with a fill of the background color from the swf. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    You cannot have a transparent background for a .swf file. You can however publish your flash file into a .gif. Your animation will have to be small though to do this. i forget what its called but it you select the color you want to be transparent and then adjust for saturation of the color.

    yeah sounds about right, problem just adjust the alpha to zero for the background color

    all you need to do is add a parameter...

    <parameter name="wmode" value="transparent">

    for embeds

    <EMBED> ... wmode="transparent" ... ></EMBED>

    This goes in the HTML btw

    Re: SWF with transparent background

    I have the same problem but I'm not using HTML so the EMBED code is useless for me. Like the original post, I need to launch a .swf from within a PDF file. It works just fine except I can't get rid of the background. I have a close button on my .swf so I don't need the window behind it. How do you get rid of the background?
