| RE: Problem with Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003 from SBS 2003 Hello Hassan, Thank you for your post. My name is Robbin Meng, and it is my pleasure to work with you on this issue! Please allow me to confirm that my understandings are correct. As I understand it, the issue is: You have built up connection of Outlook 2007 with RPC over HTTP (via SSL) with SBS server. The mail flow is normal, however, when using Send/Receive All, it never ends. You would like to know how to check the connection and how to fix it. If I have misunderstood your concerns please feel free to let me know. This issue may occur if the with RPC over HTTP network connection is not stable or the Outlook client is not well configured or communication is blocked. To troubleshoot this issue, let's try the following steps: Step 1: How to turn off third-party add-ins in Outlook If your profile contains any third-party add-ins, such as antivirus software, BlackBerry software, or fax software, follow these steps: 1. On the Tools menu in Outlook, click Options. 2. Click the Other tab, and then click the Advanced Options button. 3. Click the Add-In Manager button. 4. Click to clear the check box for any third-party add-ins that may be selected. 5. Click OK three times. 6. Restart Outlook to have a check. Step 2: Configure Outlook 2003 in cached mode to connect by using RPC over HTTP. Please follow the link to verify if your Outlook settings are all right. How to Create an Outlook Profile for Users to Use with RPC over HTTP http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../aa996069.aspx Note: if the network connection is not good, I suggest you use Outlook cached mode. If possible, please try to create a new Outlook profile and try again. If the issue persists, please check the connection status of your Outlook with remote Exchange server to see if the connection is "Established" well or unstable. Please run Outlook by using the following command: Outlook /RPCdiag in the Run box, then the pop up window will show the severs Outlook is trying to connect. Refer to the below article to so: You may experience poor performance when Outlook 2007 connects to an Exchange Server 2003 server(start Outlook 2007 by using the /RPCDIAG switch) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949295/en-us At the same time, please also let me know if the issue occurs to all of your Outlook clients located at different area over the Internet? For more information, please see: You may experience performance problems when you are working with items in a large .pst file or in a large .ost file in Outlook 2007 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932086/en-us Exchange Server 2003 RPC over HTTP Deployment Scenarios http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../aa998950.aspx I look forward to your reply. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you for your time and cooperation!
