| problem remote access to internal web (companyweb)
Hi, Sorry, my english is not perfect but I think that you understand me. When I try to connect to my internalweb from internet the server says me: Access Denied (connect_method_denied) Your request attempted a CONNECT to a port "444" that is not permitted by default. This is typically caused by an HTTPS URL that uses a port other then the default of 443. In the router is open, And I think in the sbs firewall when in the wizard I put access to mycompanyweb the port is open too. I can access to OWA and in LAN is all good. Somebody can help me? For more details when I donīt access in Event viewer - System - There are two errors : Event Type: Error Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 1007 Date: 02/05/2008 Time: 15:53:11 User: N/A Computer: SVR2K3 Description: Cannot register the URL prefix 'https://*:444/' for site '1'. The necessary network binding may already be in use. The site has been deactivated. The data field contains the error number. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Data: 0000: b7 00 07 80 ·.. Event Type: Error Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 1113 Date: 02/05/2008 Time: 15:53:11 User: N/A Computer: SVR2K3 Description: One of the IP/Port combinations for site '1' has already be configured to be used by another site. The error in the Event Viewer (id 1007) indicates that port 444 is most probably used by another site for SSL processing. Check your sites and makes sure none other than companyweb is using port 444 -- Costas "nebur" <nebur.38sgzd@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:nebur.38sgzd@DoNotSpam.com... > > Hi, > Sorry, my english is not perfect but I think that you understand me. > When I try to connect to my internalweb from internet the server says > me: > > Access Denied (connect_method_denied) > > > Your request attempted a CONNECT to a port "444" that is not permitted > by default. > This is typically caused by an HTTPS URL that uses a port other then > the default of 443. > > In the router is open, And I think in the sbs firewall when in the > wizard I put access to mycompanyweb the port is open too. What is the IP address of companyweb? (check in IIS Manager) Is it set to the IP address of the server and not to 'All Unassigned'? Also check the Default Web Site and make sure that the IP address is set to 'All Unassigned'. -- Costas "nebur" <nebur.38sxnf@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:nebur.38sxnf@DoNotSpam.com... > > Iīm sure, none other web in IIS is using the 444 port.
