| External VPN clients can't ping / access internal clients
SBS 2003 RC1 with ISA 2004 and all patches Was all working fine till a couple of days ago. Now when an external client VPNs onto the server they can access shares on the server, RDP and ping the server itself - but can no longer access / ping any of the pcs on the sbs LAN. This used to work fine (we have a license server etc) which is why we need this as well as just RWW. I'm guessing its a routing problem - but don't really know where to look. I've re run the Internet connection wizard, and reconfigured the RRAS - but no change :-( When I try and RDP to a PC on the network (that I know is accepting RDP connections) it just timeouts - as do pings. The annoying thing is that it has all been working fine for months - and nothing new has been installed. Server had a rebbot due to disk (d) getting full and needing clearing Any ideas ? Thanks |

Everything looks fine with the exception that I have no idea how that loopback 10.10.10.10 fits into the over all picture and second (more important) on your PPP connection the default GW should be the same as your IP. On your printout the GW is empty. -- Claus "James" <James@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:465A8613-389C-4CC4-BF91-7D371C0BA897@microsoft.com... > Claus, Many thanks for replying. Many thanks Claus, (The macine with 10.10.10.10 has things like Oracle installed - I guess one of these might have added loopback) Anyway - just to say thanks to you pointing out there was nothing much wrong in the routing - I looked again - and somewhere in one of its updates Trend appears to have enabled the personal firewall on the server client which was never enabled before. Appears to be working now at last Thanks again.
