| Global Address List question
My customer has SBS2003. All works fine. Question: The default GAL includes only the company's employees. There is a public folder called CCM Contacts that contains all the contacts for the business. When you create a new email via Outlook 2003, click to: , the default lookup is for the GAL. How do I setup this CCM Contacts folder to be the default lookup? They have to drill down to open the contact list. Probably simple but escaping my little head. Thanks -- Adam Gitow Computer Works MCSE, CNE, A+, I-Net+, Network+ |

First, in the properties of the public folder, make sure the option is checked to show the folder as an e-mail address book. This has to be done in each mail profile. Then in Outlook, go to Tools -> Address Book -> Tools again -> Options. Select to show the public folder first, but for "check names in the following order," I recommend GAL first, PF second. You may have to restart Outlook and/or Word to make the setting take effect. (You can customize a Word toolbar to show the Insert Address command to enter contact names and addresses into Word docs, a very cool feature if you're sending letters to people in your address book). You can do that in each Outlook individually. Select 'Tools', and then 'Address Book'. Click on 'Tools' and then 'Options'. Under the 'Show this address list first:' select your custom list. -- Costas "ComputerWorks" <ComputerWorks@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:17C8D5CC-F05C-4F02-A774-5811BD9610D2@microsoft.com... > My customer has SBS2003.
