MAC and Remote Web Workplace and Remote Desktop Connection

I see the article at Microsoft about adding a Mac to an SBS network. I'm
looking for a solution for a remote Mac user to be able to access an XP
desktop through RWW.

The only solution I can see is for the user to run XP virtually on their
Mac.

Any other solutions?

Can Linux access RWW and run Remote Desktop Connection?

Rick

Remote Desktop Connection client for Mac found here:
<http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/C/2/FC2656B4-66AC-4D97-8674-7F8B38F84BB1/RDC200_EN_Beta2.dmg>

Hope this helps!

Rick -

The reason that you can't get RWW working on a Mac (or on any other
non-Internet Explorer browser for that matter) is that the RWW interface
for remotely connecting to a workstation is built on an ActiveX control,
and ActiveX is only supported in Internet Explorer. So if you try to use
FilreFox or some other non-IE browser on Windows, you won't get it to
run, nor will you be able to use that feature on a Mac or a Linux
workstation.

Marina Roos and I put up an article on the smallbizserver.net site that
discusses how to set up and configure a solution for off-site Macs to
remotely connect to Windows workstations. The article can be found at:

http://www.smallbizserver.net/Articl...0/Default.aspx

You could also use Parallels, Fusion, or BootCamp on Intel-based Macs to
run Windows on the Mac and get the full RWW functionality that way.
Depending on what you're trying to do, however, that can be an expensive
proposition.
