    Activesync Error 0x85010014

Hey, I have a Windows Mobile Phone and a SBS 2003 Standard Server. Since yesterday I’m trying to Sync my phone with the server but not getting it done successfully. Everytime I try to sync, it gives me an error message saying “error 0x85010014.”

There is no problem accessing exchange from outside but activesync will not work on the phone. I searched and found few solutions on web for the same but none of them worked for me. Somebody please help.

Did you tried installing Latest Active Sync and tried? Also can you check if your SBS 2003 Server is having SSL associated? If yes, make sure when you put in the server names etc that it is not checking for a ssl. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the help Rossen. Yes, my server has signed certificate which I have installed successfully with the verizon add cert utility. Also the Active Sync is the latest version. But still getting the same error. Now what?

Active Sync Error / Issue Solution

I know this is an older post, but I found a solution to this issue. I ran across it on this site and it worked for me: http://www.mshelpzone.com/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9

Let me know how that works for you.

    Thank You

    Re: Activesync Error 0x85010014

    Hi Forum

I had the same problem, the problem in my case was
that there was added some of my internal ip-adresses ans IP-ranges
in: IIS "Grant or deny access” on the Microsoft-server-Activesync sub-site
when I've removed these, problem solved

    how to do/check it:

    Open IIS-manager goto:

    servername/web sites/default Web Site
mark an right-click Microsoft-server-Activesync on those properties
click on Edit.. in "Ip-adress and domain name restrictions"
verify that the radio button is in "Grant access"

    caution:
don't forget to check your firewall before ggrnting access

I believe that this security is set during the "connect to the internet wizard"
    on small business server 2003
