| Problem with incoming faxes being routed to a document library
Hi My server is running SBS 2003 SP1, and has an internal Lucent Win Modem. We cannot get fax services to route a fax to the document library http://companyweb/Incoming Faxes. In the Event Viewer, we see the following message; Event ID - 32089 / Source - Microsoft Fax The Fax Service failed to execute a specific routing method. We then see details of the Job ID and what the file name of the received fax is. The event detail ends with; Routing extension name: 'Store in a document library' Routing method name: 'Store in a document library' I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fax service (as detailed by Microsoft, i.e. remove using Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components, and then using Add / Remove Programs, Windows Small Business Server 2003, Change / Remove. |

Hi, >Register the following dll: (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Client Experience\FaxRouteExt\sbssharepoint.dll) -- regsvr32 sbssharepoint.dll >See if it works.. if no-- Check the security permissions on the "\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Client Experience\stswrapper.dll". Permissions should be as follows: Domain Admins Full Control Domain Power Users Read & Execute, Read Network Service Read & Execute, Read SBS SP Admins Read & Execute, Read System Full Control >See if it works.. if no then check--- check the identity for DefaultAppPool in IIS. To do this, open IIS Manager, expand Application Pools, right-click DefaultAppPool, click Properties, and then click the Identity tab. By default, this application pool uses the Network Service predefined identity. If you are using SQL Enterprise Manager to manage the SharePoint MSDE or the SharePoint databases, also make sure that the Network Service account has login permissions for the databases. Let me know if the issue is still not resolved Please send me update on v-2bikum@hotmail.com -- Binu Kumar (MCSE NT/2000/2003) SBS 2000/2003 Microsoft ( PSS ) =============================== "sparky_b" <sparkyb@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3765E398-66C0-440E-B015-A313AB7D1B2C@microsoft.com... > Hi > > My server is running SBS 2003 SP1, and has an internal Lucent Win Modem. Hi Binu I ran through these steps before I uninstalled and reinstalled, and everything was fine. I will run through them again to double check. So if you have any other ideas, I would be grateful to hear them. I am also having similar problems with incoming faxes being routed to my sharepoint site. I receive an error while going through "Configure Fax Services" when I check the "Store in a document folder" box and click browse I recieve the following error, "Unable to connect to sharepoint site". I have tried Binu's suggestions and it is still not working. Thanks, Jason "sparky_b" wrote: > Hi Binu > > I ran through these steps before I uninstalled and reinstalled, and > everything was fine.
