| RWW and CIECW Error ON Firewall And Security Certificate
I am, trying to configure my SBS 2003 standard edition with one nic for RWW. I have the PC's set for remote access. I ran throught the CIECW to set the remote access and it fails at the firewall configuration. I have a Lynksys router and did not choose to automaitically configure the router. I did forward ports 443 & 4125. I can do a remote access from my sbs 2003 to my pc, but when I try from a remote pc I get the error: There is a problem with the web site's security certificate. The security certificate presented by the website was issued to a different website's address. You are not authorized to view this page. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Terry |

Terry When you setup the remote users, did you use the Mobile User Template? Does CEICW actually *fail* "at the firewall configuration"? If so what message are you getting for that? Regarding the certificate, did you assign a URL or the external IP address of the router in CEICW? I normally clear the message you are seeing by using the IP address. Joe, I did not origionally use the mobil template to crete my users, beacause we did not want remote access when I got the server. I had added the remote web group to the users member of properties. I now added mobil users to the properties also. When I go through the CEICW it asks for thel local address 192.168.1.5 of the router not the external address. I get the error during firewall configuration: An error occurred while configuring a component. To continue clickOK to end press cancel. I click on OK to continue. Terry "J. M. When you get to the Firewall page in the wizard, select Enable firewall. 3 screens later, you should see the Web Server Certificate page. Select "Create a new Web server certificate," in the Web server name box, put the external IP address of the router. Joe |

Joe, I also had to go in and change the settings on the IIS default web page to allow access. Thanks for your responses! Terry "J. M.
