Hotfix 898060 required prior to Exchange 2003 SP2 installation?

Hi,

According to this page:

Hotfix 898060 must be installed prior to SP2 installation but it makes
no specific reference to SBS2K3.

Is this hotfix required, or any other fix that supercedes it? I
already have SBS2K3 SP1 installed, incorporating Exchange 2003 SP1 and
WU reports no available updates.

Can I go ahead and installed Exchange SP2?

Ok well this update (898060) appears to have been superceded by update
913446 (bulletin MS06-007) so I've downloaded and installed that, I
take it this is what's needed?

Interestingly though, on this page for the MS06-007 bulletin:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS06-007.mspx

Under the FAQ section it says:

"Yes. MBSA 2.0 will determine whether this update is required."

Wel it didn't say it needed any of the above updates prior to my
installing 913446, so the question is now what I do I trust. Do I
trust the MBSA which claims the update isn't required on SBS2K3 or
your info that it is? Should I perhaps not have installed the patch?
Should I uninstall it?

I wouldn't worry about it, just go ahead and install Exchange SP2 as it
appears you've met the prerequisite requirements.
