| inetinfo.exe memory allocation
Hi, I have been receiving alerts about the inetinfo.exe process allocating more memory than usual. I searched the KB and noticed that there is a known issue with Exchange 2000 and a hotfix has been released to solve it - does this patch work with exchange 2003 if not what can I do about this process. I have noticed that there are quite a few issues with inetinfo memory allocation. it's running in SBS 2003 with MS exchange 2003, symantec mail security enterprise ed., GFI Mail essentials V11. Any help mich appreciated. Chris IT & Network Coordinator |

| RE: inetinfo.exe memory allocation
I too have the exact same problem. In the knowledge base it says to install KB885881. I have installed this already and yet I keep getting the inetinfo.exe error described here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;827214. It started out of the blue. I am running SBS 2003 with SP1 as well as Exchange SP1. Please advise. Thanks, Kevin http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885881/ "cmjkeegan" wrote: > Hi, > > I have been receiving alerts about the inetinfo.exe process allocating more > memory than usual. I don't know the amount of memory that inetinfo.exe ususally requests but at the moment it is hovering around 93Meg. How far over the norm is this.... Also this error started out of the blue for me too, no warnings and no obvious side effects or other errors. FYI, I have the same symptom at another site running GFI MailEssentials - might that be the common thread? Maybe it is something to do with GFI M.E then? I am running Symantec AV & Firewalls too. I'll drop GFI a line, I have a years support with them anyway.
