Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x8004011D)

I’m running a SBS 2003 with MS Exchange Server, there is no VPN network with this domain. Our clients use Outlook 2003 on the local network for emails. SBS is the only computer which processes all the in/out email. Now the problem is today morning when I started Outlook for checking mails, instead I received this error message:

"Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x8004011D)"

I thought I’m the only one with this error but later found that all users are facing the same error message. After doing some research I guess that the problem is somewhere with Exchange server itself because outlook is not able to connect with Exchange box. I tried searching web for some help but dint found any. So can anyone here please help me out ?

As you said none of your clients are able to connect to the Exchange server, I’ll suggest you to check the database integrity. Along with this also dismount the mailbox store within ESM, go to a DOS window and run ISINTEG. You can find detailed info regarding “Isinteg utility” here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182081.

    Hope it helps.

Appreciate your help friend but when I tried running that isinteg as mentioned in the KB Article, it says it's not a recognized as an internal or external command. Any idea what’s the reason? Is it because that file doesn't exist anywhere on my machine? Please help.

If it is not working than open command prompt and first change to the correct directory. For example if your Exchange is installed on your C: drive, you need to do the following:

    c:
    cd \
    cd Program*
    cd Exch*
    cd bin

then you can run your isinteg or eseutil utility
