    Windows 2003 activation

I have recently installed Windows 2003 Standard Server for a person as he wanted to test it. He is using it as a Terminal Server. Now that the 30 days activation is expiring and he is going to buy 2003 server retail version, so if there anyway to just enter the new serial key and activate it, or will he have to install freshly? Thanks

    RE: Windows 2003 activation

The End User License Agreement (EULA) for an evaluation version of Windows Server 2003 requires that you activate your installation of Windows Server 2003 within 14 days from the time that you install it. If you choose not to activate Windows the first time that you start it, an Activate icon is displayed in the notification area at the far right of the taskbar.
