SBSMonitoring/SQL Memory allocation error (run away Memory usage)

There is a memory leak or something within last 2-3 days ago in the SBS Monitoring MSDE. This thing is going over a 1gb of ram and if I restart it, then it will return to normal, 30 megs, for some time and then starts growing rapidly. The server has all the latest patches, SBS SP1, Windows 2003 SP1, SQL MSDE SP4, SQL 2000 Std edition SP4, Exchange 2003 SP1. Can anyone tell me any solution that can fix this issue instead of stopping and restarting the service? Thanks for any ideas

You can try to adjust memory usage by using configuration options in SQL Server. Normally, when you start Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server memory usage may continue to steadily increase and not decrease, even when activity on the server is low. Additionally, the Task Manager and the Performance Monitor may show that the physical memory that is available on the computer steadily decreases until the available memory is between 4 MB and 10 MB.
