Internal Error 2738 - When uninstalling Veritas Backup Exec

We are trying to uninstall Veritas Backup Exec from a Win2003 SBS machine,
however we get the following error:

'Internal Error 2738'

We beleive this error is generate by Windows Installer and not Veritas. We
also get this error if we try to repair or add/remove a componant for Veritas.

The Win2003 SBS computer has the latest version of Windows Installer
installed (3.1 i beleive).

We have also tried stopping the Veritas services before running the
uninstall process.

Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some tips.

Error 2738 can point to Windows Scripting Host. This is included in SBS
2003. So either it is damaged or you may not have enough space on your system
drive. Here is the lastest WSH for 2003.

Are you perfoming this mantenance through terminal services? If so, this
could be a problem. Perform mantenance through the console, or use a program
like Remote Commander through terminal services to access the console.

If you think there is a Window Installer error, try re-registering the
components
msiexec /regserver

You can try installing the latest 3.1v2 version as well

If none of these suggestions work, post the error from the backup exec setup
log.

Running this command fixed my 2738 error.

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\vbscript.dll
