help with Ipad VPN connection to SBS2008

I’ve a SBS 2008 server running since past couple of years. Recently bought an Apple iPad with which I want to create VPN connection over my SBS server. I tried doing it myself but the IPad VPN configuration screen is very confusing and am not able to get it done properly. Here are settings I have tried but it is not able to connect. Please check if it is correct:

• Server: the ip address of the sbs network
• Account: the username on the sbs network
• Password: the password of the user on the sbs network
• RSA: Off
• Allow all traffic: No

Let me also tell you that I have successfully created and connected over VPN with my one of the windows workstation. Then whats the problem with iPad? Any help would be appreciated.

I haven’t used iPad personally so far but this is what I got from Google. Try out the following settings:

• Server: mysbsserver.mydomain.com (SBS server's external IP or hostname)
• Account: SBS login name
• Password: SBS login password
• RSA: Off
• Send ALL traffic: oN

Hi Invinceble,

• In the network settings Click on add vpn config
• Unless you've bumped it up to L2TP or IPSec, you'll click on the PPTP tab
• Server name = IP address of your server
• Account = your user name
• Password is your password
• RSA off
• Send all traffic on
• To connect, click on
• Now use an RDP app as you need
