Exchange 2007 SP2 : Previous installation pending error

I am using SBS 2008 on my system. I am getting a constant message that Exchange 2007 SP2 is not installed in the system. I had tried to find out a tool that can help me to find out the installation of Exchange 2007 SP2 on Windows SBS 2008 Server. I had tried to download the tool but still there are error. I am getting a message that reboot required previous installation pending. After restart there is exactly the same error that appear on the screen. I am not able to find out any fix that is going to really work. Any idea. Is this due to updates.

First check out the version number under the system properties. You can find more set of option there. It looks there are some incomplete updates or setup. You have to go with a cleanup of windows registry. I do not have any tool for that but I think on TechNet you can find out some guide to cleanup the windows registry. Once those pending registry keys are adjusted you will be able to move ahead with the installation.
